**** Idol R4 Tuesday Report ****

Not much movement in the standings, however that doesn’t mean we didn’t have activity. For the first time this round, ALL projects got at least some activity, and we got some new things to show. First of all, you’ll note Faction’s MAIL number went down today. We got in a couple of their mail-ins, so as that number goes down as they clear, so do they get added to what they ordered. You’ll also note a number in the Store catagory for the first time. We’re counting ALL discount orders as store orders, so whether it was the creator ordering personal copies, or a store ordering, it will count on this number, not the copies. The number in brackets after the store number is how many different “stores” ordered. That will basically be for informational purposes only, like the Mail bracket number. Doesn’t count in the averaging, but tells us stuff about what’s going on.

So! A few people might also have noticed that the site went down late last night again. I woke up to it down, and that didn’t make me happy at all. It was the same DNS service outage we had last monday night that made me go crazy trying to fix the distro when it wasn’t the distro that was the actual problem. I still don’t know what caused the DNS service to stop running again, or why it happened exactly a week after the last time…but I am investigating vigorously. At least I didn’t rip apart the software breaking things trying to fix something that wasn’t broken this time. If anyone finds the site down at any time, please send me an e-mail about it! I’ve had nothing but trouble since the server “upgrade” from the hosting company, and I’m giving serious consideration to switching hosting companies when our service runs out in a couple months….
